Roses are red, violets are blue, I love rose water, and you should too! But in all seriousness, this is the best product I’ve ever added to my skin care routine and it’s what I use in place of a toner. I even got TJ to use it too. Not only does it smell amazing (it literally smells like fresh roses), it’s an affordable and simple addition to your skin regimen that has multiple uses and benefits.
3 Reasons Why I love Rose Water:
- Rose water is hydrating and refreshing: I spray it on my face in the morning, before bed, after a flight, or anytime I feel like I need to freshen up my face. Skin feeling dry and dull? A couple of spritzes of rose water and your skin feels awakened and refreshed. I have combo skin-oily and dry (lucky me), so I often get dried out after flying or when I travel to different climates. After spending a week in Dallas for the wedding, my skin was SO dry, chapped, and red. Rose water literally saved me.
- Rose water is cooling and calming: I recently made the mistake of trying a new self tanner on my face which instantly stung and didn’t feel better even after I washed my face. I sprayed some rose water on my face and the stinging went away and calmed my skin down. It’s literally like magic!
- Rose water works amazing with makeup: I’ve always dreamt of flawless, dewy looking skin. You know, like a Kardashian, super model, or celebrity who gets all the amazing skin treatments I wish I could afford. With my combo skin I’m either dry or oily. Dewy isn’t in my vocabulary. However, after putting on my foundation and bronzer, a couple spritzes of rose water really does wonders! It’s the perfect finishing spray that gets me as close to dewy as I’ll ever get without looking oily.
